Since 2009, I have worked in the voluntary and private sectors with adults and children who have experienced varying degrees of mental health and psychological issues, including; Anxiety, Depression, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Low Self-esteem, Bereavement, Loss, Passive Aggressive Behaviour, Anger Management, and Suicide.

Talk Me Therapy is a private practice situated in the Bridges Centre, Monmouth which is a beautiful Grade II listed building.  The practice further extends to referrals and contractual work with other counselling and psychotherapy practicies, GP surgeries, corporate organisations, housing authorities and mental health and psychotherapy service providers.

Type of Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an effective researched therapy for most psychological disorders, it consists of all the approaches that elleviates psychological distress through the medium of correcting faulty conceptions and self-signals. CBT is the therapy of choice for many practitioners and organisations, it is widely reported as the therapy of choice by NICE for use by the NHS in the treatment of various disorders, including; Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Schizophrenia, Eating Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

As a requirement I undergo a minimum of 1.5hrs of clinical supervision per month which enables me to reflect on my practice in line with the ethical code of practice of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).


As an experienced, qualified, professional counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP and the Association for Independant Practitioners (AIP), I am bound by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling.

Continual Professional Development (CPD) is an important part of the practice which allows a broadening of knowledge and experience within the field of psychotherapy, also I have clinical and research interests in Autism Spectrum Condition.
