Since 2009, I have worked in the voluntary and private sectors with adults and children who have experienced varying degrees of mental health and psychological issues, including; Anxiety, Depression, Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Low Self-esteem, Bereavement, Loss, Passive Aggressive Behaviour, Anger Management, and Suicide.  


The Practice

Talk Me Therapy is a private practice situated in Apex House, Monmouth, it has a ground floor private therapy room with ease of access, toilet facilities and free parking. The practice further extends to referrals and contractual work with other counselling and psychotherapy practices, GP surgeries, corporate organisations, housing authorities and mental health and psychotherapy service providers.

Type of Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an effective researched therapy for psychological disorders, it consists of approaches that alleviates psychological distress through the medium of correcting faulty conceptions and self-signals. CBT is the therapy of choice for many practitioners and organisations, and is widely reported as the therapy of choice by NICE for use in the NHS for the treatment of various disorders, including; Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Schizophrenia, Eating Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

As a requirement I undergo a minimum of 1.5hrs of clinical supervision per month which enables me to reflect on my practice in line with the ethical code of practice of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).


As an experienced, qualified, professional counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP I am bound by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling.

Continual Professional Development (CPD) is an important part of the practice which allows a broadening of knowledge and experience within the field of psychotherapy, further; I have clinical and research interests in Autism Spectrum Condition and Neurodiversity..
